We welcome guest bloggers who like to contribute to offering how-to advice, ideas and information to couples planning a small wedding, micro-wedding or elopement.  

Though a guest blog may seem like a sponsored post, please keep in mind that we are selective on the articles and authors.  If you are simply wanting to post just to get SEO backlinks, we will NOT accept it.  We will NOT pitch companies or bands that we currently have no relationship, or if the article is spammy in nature. 

We do accept high-quality, thoughtful, informational articles and will provide only ONE link only to your page/services only in the "Bio" description of the author at the END of the article; this is a maximum of three sentences.  

REQUIREMENTS:​

• Must be 800 to 2,000 words length
• The nature of the article must be informational: how-to, advise, ideas, inspiration, DIY tutorials, attire trends - well-researched with experience
• The topics must be specific to small weddings, micro-weddings or elopements.... and yes, the ARE different from the traditional big wedding.
• Content must be original, unique (no copyright infringement)
• Common topics: how to find sites (off-the-beaten-path, VRBO's, AirBNBs,) reception ideas (food, beverage, cake), photography, floral designs, the ceremony, hair/makeup, attire, planning process, wedding day timing-sequencing
• Exclusivity to publish only on this site

​WHAT WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DECLINED

• ​Vendor reviews or advertising/promoting a product, venue or service
• Pre-releases that will be seen on any other media 
• Content that is published on other sites (exclusivity required)
• Any literary piece such as poetry, fictional stories, narratives, personal issues/rants/vents
• Anything too short or from AI bot

THE PROCESS: 

1. Read this page thoroughly.
2. Download the guest blogger contract (to the right).  Print and sign it.
3. Fill out the form
   1. Attach your article to the form.
   2. Attach your signed agreement to the form
4. We will review it for acceptance an authenticity.  We have editorial rights. 
5. If we accept it and publish it, we will notify you within 3 weeks.  If you don't receive a notification, it means that the article has been declined. 

THINGS TO KNOW:

• You grant consent to Small Wedding Workshop and Custom Weddings of Colorado to publish your blog submission on our sites. 
• You consent for us to edit your submission for tone, length, clarity and audience. 
• This is a non-paid contribution; a link will be provided to you in the bio section that you may add at the end of the article.
